FCI encourages sports and sportspersons, by inducting them in regular service, giving 100 scholarships every year by providing financial assistance and specialised training at National Institute of Sports. (There exists a Sports Promotion Board at apex which is affiliated with major National and State Sports Federations). Talented sports youngsters in the age grouped of 15 to 18 years. 18 to 21 years and 21 to 24 years are granted scholarships annually. Besides, sportspersons working with FCI are encouraged by granting various in-service Incentives including accelerated promotion, grant of increments and Cash Awards, depending upon their performance at National and International levels. FCI is proud of its National / International sportspersons who brought laurels to the country.
